The Campaign Against Living Miserably runs a free, anonymous helpline and webchat aimed squarely at men, staffed by trained people through the evening and night.

Who it's for

Anyone, but built around how men talk.

Cost

Free, and it doesn't show on your phone bill.

Hours

5pm to midnight, 365 days a year.

What actually happens

• You call or start a webchat — no referral, no name needed.
• You talk about whatever it is, however it comes out. It does not have to be about suicide.
• They'll help you work out a next step, but nobody makes you do anything.
• They only break confidentiality if there is an immediate risk to life.
